18 Months of Lyme Disease Recovery/Remission

April 28, 2016 Brenda Cosentino

I still have days where I can’t believe I am Lyme Disease free. I just returned from a one week backpacking trip to Palenque and San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. I climbed every single one of the ruins pictured above. It was a full 9 hour day of ruins, rivers, jungle treks, swimming at Aqua Azul Cascades and Misol-Ha Waterfalls.   The next day, after a good nights sleep I walked for hours and hours all over the city of Palenque. I no longer feel destroyed after a full day of strenuous activity. I went non-stop for 7 days. A miracle considering I was sick for over 20 years.

I healed myself with bowel cleansing,  parasite cleansing, Wahls Paleo Diet , Buhner’s Lyme Disease Protocol and a few other things which can be found here.

My Diet and Maintenance Plan

Wahls Paleo Diet

Breakfast – Super Healthy Green Smoothie

Lunch – Big Salad with some type of  animal protein and lots of assorted veggies. Homemade salad dressing with olive oil and apple cider vinegar.

Early Dinner– This is usually a healthy amount of animal protein, cooked vegetables, salad and pico de gallo( a raw salad dish consisting of cilantro, onions, tomato, jalapeno peppers and lime juice).

Beet Kvass and sauerkraut for probiotic rich foods. I also buy a natural unprocessed yogurt here in Mexico. I usually avoid dairy but do eat a little of this occasionally.

Daily Supplements

Cod liver oil – 1 tablespoon
Kelp – 10 Country Life
Magnesium Glycinate and Citrate – 500 mg per day
Dessicated Liver Pills – 4 – 6 per day
Digestive Enzymes – 1 per meal
Betaine HCL- 4 per meal

Moringa – 1 heaping tspn in my green smoothies
Soaked pumpkin seeds- 2 tablespoons in my green smoothies
Copper- 2 mg
Adrenal Glandular – 2 per day
Probiotics – About 50 billion before bed
Womens whole food multi – 2 per day

*Note– Please don’t get caught up with brands of supplements. I just buy reputable brands from my local health food store. I usually just buy what is on sale. It is ALWAYS best to get your nutrients from food but the above just helped to correct nutritional deficiencies as per hair testing.

Maintenance Parasite Cleansing

I have now cut back to parasite cleansing every 6 months. I use my dewormer recipe and do it for one full month. So far so good. I find that the diet keeps the gut terrain healthy and parasites can no longer get the upper hand.

Exercise

I am now very physically active. I walk about 6 or 7 miles per day 4 days per week. I do resistance training on the other days. I’m not doing as much Aquafit but still swim on a very regular basis. I beachwalk at least 5 times per week for grounding.

Hair Testing

I  continue with hair tissue mineral analysis just to see where I can improve with specific minerals. I do my own testing every 8 months to one year.

Overall

My life today is completely different than it was when I was sick. It is still a shock to be well after so many years of sickness. My energy is good and I am sailing through menopause. I never imagined that at 53 I could feel this great. I just continue to get stronger with each passing month.

Blessings and Best of Health!

Brenda

    Hello,

Was wondering can I put the dewormer powder recipe in capsules and it work the same or do I need to have it loose in the water?

Hi Brenda. Was wondering if you have your facility set up yet in Mexico?

Not yet. Funding is a problem. I am now looking more at January 2017. I will be sure to post details here when it is up and running.

Is there anything I can do to help? I am suffering from Lyme, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, and Mold Toxicity. I have had Lyme for well over 30 years, but was misdiagnosed until a year ago. I would like to help anyway I can. Can you tell me more?

Everything I have done is on the website. There is a lot to read but will clearly explain all that I did to recover.

hi Brenda. first of all I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your story and protocols and herbal recipes. you will be blessed in ways that money cant buy. I trust the same will be for dr. bruhner and others. Brenda, reading your story is similar to my life of illness except I have been suffering for over 40 years. I saw a chiropractor one day who is also a seer and she told me I need to get checked for lyme disease. I then went to a practitioner who did a zyto scan and certainly there were bartonella, borrellia hermsii and others I dont recognize. all those symptoms I have suffered. the one that stands out to me is the intense head pressure and migraines. how on earth did you deal with that? that just takes our quality of life right down to misery. how did you get tested for lyme? should I assume with the zyto scan that I do have lyme or would it be a good idea to do the test at igenix? idk. thank you so much for this website.

Hi- The head pressure and migraines were caused by Babesia. I have a post on it. Two Herbs for Babesia. I received a clinical diagnoses in combination with muscle testing. You could test with Igenix. This test, although better than most, is still not completely accurate.

I went the alternative route as I had chronic or late stage lyme.

      Blessings!
